Keady 3-09 to Dorsey 0-06

Our seniors put in a big performance tonight to progress through to the qualifiers second round.

From the start Keady were in control and despite some inaccurate shooting in the early stages we still managed to score the first point of the game. Dorsey quickly equalised but this was as good as it got for our opponents. From here Keady went on to score 1-05 without reply. Dorsey scored another point just before the break. HT score 1-06 to 0-02.

Keady started brightly in the second half scoring a point almost immediately, Dorsey pulled one back but within a couple of minutes Keady had added a second goal. 2 minutes later a surging run from a Keady midfielder resulted in a penalty. The penalty was expertly put into the top corner. The game was now well and truly over.

Keady took the foot off the gas for the remainder of the game and the 2 sides traded points before the final whistle. FT Score Keady 3-09 to Dorsey 0-06.

This was a game where Keady took control early on and snuffed out any challenge from their opponents early on. The team deserve much credit for their performance, some very attractive football was played by the team.

Well done to all.
